Served around 9:30am ~ a homemade wrap. I really meant to show you the insides of it - I did!...but it was so good I ate it all too fast.
What it was: 1/2 cup egg whites, 1/2 egg, scrambled together with spices; a slice of muenster cheese, a swipe of homemade mayo, all on a lavash wrap.
I made Ben one just like it and it disappeared pretty quickly.
Served around 12:30pm. The Weekly Special from Eddie's Pizza Truck ~ my Thursday indulgence. Today was "skins" pizza ~ Gouda, broccoli, sour cream and bacon. I got mine without the bacon.
Eh. I far prefer the regular pizza, with sauce and good old pizza cheese. I wouldn't order this variation again.
Served around 3pm. A coworker brought in a bag of those new pretzel M&Ms. I had to try one.
Or three. Verdict: they are a lovely mix of salty and sweet, but due to the poor quality of the chocolate, I won't find myself falling victim.
Served around 7:15pm, in a big hurry at Old Castle Pub. I got stuck at work and we had tickets for a play (Next to Normal) that began at 8pm. Sweet Ben ordered for me and I arrived just as my turkey burger with swiss cheese and french fries arrived. I only remembered to take a picture halfway through.
That puddle isn't grease - it's a liberal application of my favorite, malt vinegar!
Next to Normal: I didn't know much about the play going into it, except that is was a musical that had been running for about a year and had received high acclaim. I did recognize one song from it (Super Boy and the Invisible Girl) but none of the rest seemed as catchy.
The show is about a family dealing with a mother who has mental health issues. It was overwhelmingly depressing, but well done.
