I knit the last stitches of B.O.B. Z.O.B.
I even wove in most of the ends. I didn't finish off the underarms yet, though. We're going to play that one out when we get there.
Ten inches across at the chest. Thirty-one inches long.
Heavens. I've knit a sweater for Olive Oyl.
For reference, my chest is about 36" (and shrinking ~ why is it that I lose weight in my boobs first? Totally not fair.)
B.O.B. Z.O.B. and I want this to work out, though. We are in this mess together. I filled the sink and in hopped the wool, like a sweet and obedient pup.
We went for the full-on heavy immersion approach. I am a fan of always, always wet blocking, like the Yarn Harlot.
My arms got a mini-workout stretching and nudging and pulling the heavy, damp, sheepy-smelling wool into some semblance of a cardigan that might fit an actual human. I wasn't sure what to do with the collar, so I flared it out. I can deal with that later.
Measurements for B.O.B. Z.O.B. while splayed out on the pins: 18" across at the chest. 29" top to bottom.
I pinned the two front side edges together to ready them for the possibility of a zipper.
It's going to take a while for this sopping wet wool to dry.
So what do you think? Is it going to fit me? Or is this a fail?
