If one is me, then one would be knitting blankets, per the usual. Since that Swirly Twirly blanket is gone off to coddling a babe, the Boy Log Cabin Blanket has stepped up to the plate for some hot and steamy action.
What do you knit when you travel?
I know, it's a rough life being a knit-in-progress. All of that warm afternoon sunlight and brisk sea air can just get tedious after a while.
Sometimes a blanket needs a nap ~ to recover from all of that relaxing, you know.
There are so many things I want to slip onto my needles right now (besides a toasty marshmallow or the bloody still-beating heart of my Corporate Finance professor). I have two more baby blankets due...an afghan beckoning to me...a gift shawl....
And (to prove that I can do math):
work + school = no time for knitting sleep reading socializing life.

that boy blanket is ab fabulous! i LOVE the colors.
just deciding what knitting to bring when i fly back to maryland this weekend -- frankly, i'm still thinking about the swirly blanket you made (http://oneschemeofhappiness.typepad.com/home/2009/08/you-spin-me-right-round-baby.html) and whether i could do it in two different colorways of noro sort of stripey-like.
the problem with that is that once i figure out how to do it, i'll be bored with it and won't want to finish the blanket. i know me.
bloody knitting needles don't work as well. don't ask me how i know ;-)

Ah, yes, I recognize the desire to use knitting needles for nefarious purposes (in my case, they're aimed at administrators). But the blanket's looking wonderful! :)
