Still no photos for your blogging enjoyment ~ maybe I can get Ben to help me figure out this durn camera phone! Although I failed to send my recent photos to my on-line host site, I did somehow manage to rack up $20 in internet usage.
Lots of wacky and wild going on over here these days in Happinessland. My Ribbed Ecru Scarf is complete, except for the tucking of the end yarn, which I'll do as soon as I can rescue a crochet hook from the pile of random stuff covering my new living room. I did find my circular size 13s, so I can begin the matching hat soon.
I have also been working on a Noro Hat to accompany Ben's Noro Moss Stitch Scarf. Progress on that is slow right now, but going. I'd show you a picture if I could, but no dice today.
Oh, and we aren't getting an internet hook-up at home until December 28th. Man! That's the soonest TimeWarner could "get to us." AND no cable TV until then!
I'm going to die.
This will not be pretty.
Luckily, we'll be out of town (staying somewhere with a TV and internet, I hope) for about a week before and including Xmas, so that will alleviate some of the pain.
Mostly, what I'm missing right now is the DVD player anyway. Our new High Definition Flat Screen LCD (38") arrived yesterday and will continue to hog the foyer until we decide where to have it installed.
Which we can't do until the kitchen is finished and we decide on final placement of our sofa.
Which probably won't be until 2006.
If we're lucky.
Talk about a catch 22.
Tonight, there will be no knitting action; neither will there be unpacking, cleaning or other useful pursuits. Ben and I will be attending the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater Opening Night Gala this evening, held mere blocks from our home. And there will be dancing!
Don't wait up for us.
And wish me luck tonight as I scurry home to conduct an archaeological dig for an evening gown and slippers!
